As you are all aware, we are all facing exceptional circumstances which will inevitably have a huge impact on every aspect of the events industry. Nationwide event cancellations are going to cause many problems and tough times for both event businesses and suppliers. The impact on our industry will be felt for some time even after the virus crisis abates, confidence in public health will need to be rebuilt for people to start to attend public or private events in anywhere near the numbers as before.
As a leading event industry service provider and a very tight-knit team, we are balancing our desire to keep users and advertisers supported, as always, and the safety and well being of our team and families. So upon government recommendations we have moved to home office working for the duration of this crisis. Subject to our team remaining healthy we do not foresee any interruption to our services online or offline in the foreseeable future, all phone and email communications will remain the same.
On a more personal note, having been self employed for over 30yrs (each) both Dawn and I have seen and experienced recessions, crashes, flooding, bad times and of course good times. However, unless this crisis ends quickly it will test us all in ways that make past experiences look like a walk in the park. None of us will escape the impact of this and we are all going to need to survive the now, stay the course and plan for the recovery.
