Stages provide a focal point at any event and come in all shapes and sizes, they can be simple raised platforms or elaborate productions complete with laser lights and a sophisticated sound system for festivals, to a podium for public speakers. We provide you with all the advice you will need.

We have an extensive static and interactive display of medical and home front items that can range in size depending on the size of your event. We have 100's of items to display in and around our tented area. Our display to the public is designed to be interactive and we remain 'in character' to add to the atmosphere and make it a 'living history' experience.

Covering the North East we have several complete outdoor stage systems and festival stages for hire that are suitable for many events. The trailer mobile stages are the quickest to set up and come in a range of sizes. For high impact festivals hire the Dome stage with an inflatable stage roof with a performance area of 35 x 20ft.

Covering the South West our marquees come in a range of styles ideal for corporate and hospitality events, private functions and weddings. HSE response to ‘water fiasco’ marathon cancellation coverage in the Sheffield Star

I applaud the Star for not doing what many journalists sadly did in lambasting ‘health and safety’ for the cancellation of Sunday’s Sheffield Half Marathon (6 April).

It was unnecessary for the organisers to blame health and safety for their decision to cancel the event at the last minute. Anyone who probed their statement on Sunday would have seen that this was about being unable to provide enough drinking water for all participants and meet the requirements set by athletics’ governing body, not about complying with health and safety regulations.

It can feel like running a marathon trying to set the record straight on health and safety, but it is important to do so because ill-informed coverage obscures the important work being done to reduce the number of people killed and injured by their jobs - not just in Sheffield, but across Britain.

First World War Centenary 2014 - 2018 LED BY IWM
Commemorate and remember the lives of those who lived, fought and died in the First World War.

One hundred years ago this country along with our commonwealth partners and allies entered into a world war that was only expected to last a few months, finally ending in 1918 the "war to end all wars" claimed the lives of millions. Now known as "The Great War" world war one effected virtually every houshold in Britain with many people today still able to recall family memories of the war.
    
Over the next four years "The First World War Centenary" provides a great opportunity to pass on those memories, family history and what life was like during the war to the next younger generation through educational and community events. If you are an organiser looking at and planning special centenary events Countyfetes will be adding various related event services over the coming year and will of course be on hand to offer any help locating specific services.
