We are a medieval re-enactment group dedicated to recreating the period known as "The War of the Roses". We aim to bring to the public a vibrant, interactive and exciting interpretation of medieval military and civilian life during the latter half of the fifteenth century via living history displays.

Purchased September 2014 this ride is suitable for early teenagers upwards. Its a new concept to the corporate world, its bit like a big wheel but you sit facing the side of the ride and as the ride goes round the cars independently spin as well, there is a brake on each car so the rider can stop it spinning, it also goes round faster than a big wheel. The main difference being that the cars go upside down so you are on a double spin.

At night this ride really comes into its own with a display of thousands of lights.

We are a re-enactment group dedicated to re-enacting life as it would have been in the regiment during the peninsular wars and up to the battle of Waterloo. We recreate the everyday life of soldiers and families using costumes, muskets, drums and food cooked to authentic recipes of the day.

Issue
A newspaper reported that council bureaucrats banned donkey rides for children at a village fete because of health and safety concerns.

Panel decision
There is nothing in health and safety law that stops children enjoying a holiday donkey ride, or that requires them to wear helmets to do so.
In this case the organisers cancelled the donkey rides because the operator did not hold the licence required under animal welfare legislation.
This was misrepresented as a health and safety issue in the newspaper report. HSE is keen to set the record straight, and for this and future generations to continue to enjoy the traditions of the summer fete.
