29th Field Kitchen South

Hi all,  the 29th Field Kitchen South are looking for events in years 2023 and 2024

qm@29thfieldkitchensouth.co.uk

The Field Kitchen offers a unique experience, bringing wartime cooking techniques to life. We cook on authentic    cookers, using original recipes, displaying period equipment and rationed items. Uniformed members of the group are always available to share their considerable knowledge and answer any questions the public  may have. We display war time food and have over 25 years of experience. There will usually be 6 members. We are based in the Northamptonshire with members also in the North East.

We prepare and cook a meal, for all to see how its done, and talk about cooking in the field.

The food that we cook is aimed to be served at 12.30. We give this to the re-enactors or any one who like to have some for a fixed donation. This just covers the food cost. This all goes down well at events. We do need to put up a tent on grass or hard standing for displaying and cooking.

We have all of the appropriate insurances and health certificates. We have experience of working at a variety of events and we also have experience of working with schools. We have participated in multi day events.

We can do WW 1 and WW 2 Army Field Kitchen or a WAR TIME A.R.P. feeding station.

Our fee is for fuel. Cost of min of £400 .00 dependent on distance to travel to location of event and a daily fee of £350 per day.
Set up day there is no fee prior to the event. There will 2 vans with all the kit on and about 5 us who work in the Kitchen.

You can let us know if you would like us at your show via email
