Welcome to our first edition of our newsletter for 2011. We hope you all
had a good festive break and kept warm. Spring is not far off so I hope you are
all full of enthusiasm and eager to get started with this years event planning
and organising. We will start you off gently this year with looking at the main
focal point of your event, main arena entertainment, attractions and displays.

New Email Service "Email category" Tool Added
Our
email service has proved very popular with event organiser's over the years
but it has also had it's limitations, mainly when the user wanted to state which
category listings within specific directory areas to send out emails to. So to
improve the service we have developed a new "Email category" tool that
enables the user to instantly email all advertisers within the category being
viewed. The new tool can be located at the top of each directory listing page.

The Main Arena - The Focal Point
The central focal point at all events large or small is the main arena. This
large non public area positioned towards the middle of your event site is where
many of your scheduled displays, attractions and demonstrations will take place.
A well planed and well controlled access route in and out of the main arena are
essential to ensure a smooth flow of constant activities without long delays. |

Main Arena Attractions, Demonstrations and Displays
Carefully chosen arena attractions to complement your event theme will give your event or show a great
crowd pulling focal point. Sadly a poorly organised schedule of main arena entertainment
often ruins what would otherwise have been a great event. The secret is to keep the show flowing
to your published schedule with a variety of larger displays mixed with smaller
acts or shows.

Celebrating our Official 10th Birthday
This is an exciting year for us at Countyfetes as 2011 marks our official 10th Birthday,
later in the year we will be holding some special promotions. Talking of
birthdays it was mine in late January and that same weekend we visited a WW2
Arnham Veteran in his early nineties. I was amazed, he had more energy than I can muster some days at half his age.
