Cutwork Dome Lantern 42cm Fair Trade (LT186) Description
A larger version of our 33cm dome lantern, this striking metal cutwork lantern makes quite an impact! Hand made in India on a Fair Trade basis, this decorative lantern is made with intricate metal work that casts an enchanting shadow onto surrounding surfaces when lit with either a real flame, or LED pillar candle. The lantern opens at the middle using a hinge so that the whole top opens away making it easy to place a candle inside, and with a hook for hanging, this rustic antique styled lantern looks as good when hung, placed on table tops, or used as a floor lantern indoors or outdoors.
This product has been made on a Fair Trade basis. Our supplier has a strong ethical policy and aims to buy from small scale producers who use mostly natural materials and traditional techniques to produce beautiful and unique pieces. Their belief is that the best way to help disadvantaged producers is to work in partnership with them through mutually beneficial long term trade. All producers are paid fairly for their skills to help them become financially independent and stronger. Producers are paid in advance when asked, allowing them to buy raw materials and start making their order without experiencing financial difficulty.
