Making the best use of
Having a display of classic cars or vintage vehicles at your event will provide your visitors with an all day long walk around static attraction. Apart from using as a static attraction classic cars and vintage vehicles can also be used as a main arena attraction between other scheduled entertainments. This will give the vehicle owners an opportunity to parade their restored vehicles in the main arena and give visitors a chance to see them working.
How many do I need?
Depending upon the space you have available and the size of event you're holding the more classic cars or vintage vehicles that you are able to have attend your event the more impact the display will have. Talk to club secretaries who will be able to advise you as to how many members and vehicles they may be able to provide. One suggestion may be to have half a dozen vehicles from several different types of clubs.
Booking suggestions
Classic cars and vintage vehicles are always in great demand particularly by many of the organisers of larger events and shows being held throughout the year. Topped with the fact that many clubs organise their own classic car events can make it very difficult to make bookings if left two late in the season, so plan ahead as an early as possible and make inquiries. Fees. Donations may be required by the club to cover expenses and costs.
Regulations, insurance and other useful notes
It may appear that there are numerous vintage vehicles out there but as the restoration cost grows, metalworking skills needed for restoring and maintaining these classic cars die out the numbers are declining. If you want to help preserve this great part of British motoring history next time you're at an classic car show or event make a small donation.
