Keeping Cotswold Morris alive in the heart of Gloucestershire

You’re more than welcome to come along and join us in the fun of music and dance.

Gloucestershire Morris dancing season starts every May Day morning at dawn’s first light, dancing up the sunrise on Painswick Beacon, the highest point in the county.

We have a full programme of events, dancing every week of summer until the middle of September, when we take a brief break until the traditional Boxing Day event at noon outside Gloucester Cathedral.

Charity collections
At most events you will find the Morris dancers collecting money for good causes close to their hearts, supporting both local and national charities. Find out more and help us to help those in need in our communities and beyond.

Gloucestershire Morris Mummers
In the winter months we perform our traditional mummers play for delighted audiences at pubs, markets and other hospitable locations around the county. Come and see the heroes and villains, and groan at some of the oldest jokes in existence!
