Mike Connell Disco was founded and still owned by" Yes, you guessed it" Mike Connell, an extremely experienced DJ having worked in clubs all over the country, and also performed mobile-discos at events such as Sola's and Fairs, Wedding Receptions, Civil Partnership Ceremonies, Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Christmas Parties, Children's Parties, Product promotion, MC for fashion shows, etc. Whatever type of function it is that you're planning, the right music will play a very important part in the success of your event. Good events will be remembered many years from now. If you think back to great nights you've had in the past from 5,10 even 20 years ago; for many people one of the factors that contributed most to the success of the night was the ENTERTAINMENT. Most people will place little importance to their enjoyment of the night on details such as: how the room was decorated, the flower arrangements etc but they WILL remember how much fun they had.
The quality of the entertainment determines the success of your function. It may sound corny, but great entertainment makes the food taste better, the flowers look fresher and prettier and the venue look grander. Why? Because great music enables you and your guests to enjoy themselves and everything is better when you're having fun.

What You Get From Mike Connell's Disco

I will also provide you with a professional contract booking system. Every booking I take is only confirmed after the following procedure: I will send you a Confirmation booking form. You then return one copy with a 25% advanced payment. You, the client, can keep the 2nd copy of this form which lists all the Booking details as well as the terms & conditions. You then pay the Balance, at the start of the event.

Set-up

It usually takes me around 45 minutes to set up my equipment, and so I will usually arrive at the venue at least 1 hour before the performance time is scheduled to commence. For example if you say 7:30 PM start. The first tune will be 7:30.

Music

I have over 20 years experience being a Dj, as well as presenting at mobile-discos, nightclubs, Bars and also radio, not only in the UK but also in many countries around the world. I have been a DJ at an extremely wide variety of events and venues. From huge nightclubs holding thousands to restaurants and even house parties.
I will send you a small list of number Is from the UK pop charts, enabling you to request the number 1 song from your era or when you were married etc. which is special to your occasion.

Dress Code

My dress policy for every event I attend is smart casual, which is: a White shirt or a very smart T-Shirt, Black Trousers and Black Shoes. If you want me to wear a tie or if you're having a Black Tie event or any themed event please let me know and I will dress appropriately for your occasion. I believe it's important to build a relationship with you, the host, which gives you one less thing to worry about.
