Gus has been in the catering business for over 25 years
He started working from the age of 14 with his late Father on his licensed fruit and vegetable stall in the heart of London's West End. Gus helped out with the stall and sold hot roasted chestnuts in the winter.

Gus now works in Covent Garden, London
He now works at various events at the Excel centre, including prestigious events and venues such as     The Boat Show, The World Travel Market, The Toy Fair and Hotel Olympia.

Gus also helps out at many charity events
Including BBC’s Children In Need, Comic Relief, NSPCC and Breast Cancer Care Carol Concert. Last year Gus gave Cherie Blair, who is the patron of Breast Cancer Care some chestnuts and said ‘my nuts are hotter than Tony’s’ and Cherie Blair laughed out loud!!

Gus is very entertaining
Gus has a wide range of hot nut jokes that adds to the atmosphere, but is also a very professional trader and has his basic hygiene certificate, public liability insurance and many years of experience.

"To Gus, The best chestnut seller in London."
With best wishes Antonio Carluccio, Carluccio's Restaurants, Christmas 2003

Charity chestnut roast is toast of town
A street trader who has become a familiar face in Covent Garden roasted chestnuts for charity on Friday. Gus Bodur, who has a chestnut stand outside the Crown and Anchor pub in Neal Street, donated all the proceeds of his sales to the BBC's Children in Need charity. Mr Bodur managed to raise 120 for the cause in the one-day charity drive.
