Welcome to this edition of our newsletter focusing on children's rides.
It's hard to believe that this time last year we were all looking forward to
the 2012 Olympics to get started. To avoid clashing with the games many small
event organiser's in fear of poor attendance decided to postpone or even cancel their events during the
games. While feedback and reports from event traders who attended official Olympic events have
generally not been good. The legacy of the 2012 Olympics for London and sporting
community will be felt for some time, but for some in our
industry the legacy has been costly. |

But that was last year and this year the sun is out and there's no reason for
organiser's not to put on a good event and get the crowds in.

Keeping young children amused at any event or fun day for any length of time can be a daunting prospect for
both parents and the event organiser. Very often parents who would otherwise
stay and look around your event stalls are dragged away home sooner due a lack of
children's amusements.
|
|
Not all rides are mechanical or need
inflating, some rides have four legs, big floppy ears and look like Eeyore from Winnie-the-Pooh.
Yep you guessed right, Donkey rides are a must attraction and ride at any event big or small and
as a bonus will keep the kids (and some parents) amused for hours. |

Keep an event record. As the day unfolds keep a record of problems, things that might or have gone wrong, new ideas
and improvements for next year plus comments from traders and visitors. A Dictaphone saves writing it down. |
