Christmas is a time when every town centre manager is competing with
neighbouring towns for Christmas shoppers. Coming up with ideas and finding
attractions that will add to that Christmas shopping atmosphere can be a
daunting task. Of course every town will have varying local restrictions on what
is allowed or suitable, so we have put together a selection of ideas. |

Turn your shopping streets and courtyards into parts of
Santa's grotto with busy green costumed elves and Santa clauses (perhaps using
local children's clubs and helpers) acting out the various scenes of making
toys. Finish the look with the help of Rudolf and Santa on his sleigh moving
around the town. |

TRADITIONAL CAROLS PLAYED BY LOCAL BRASS BANDS |

A great way to help bring back a traditional Christmas
atmosphere (which is often missing in many town centres) is with a good local
brass band playing Christmas carols and Christmas favourite hits. Sing along as
you shop. |
