Many firework displays are very much a turn up, watch the
fifteen minute display, jump in the car and go home events. Which really does
not give the organiser much time to go round with the charity collection tin.
Look at providing entertainment before the main display such as best illuminated
child competitions, fire eating and juggling displays, hot food and drinks etc. |

careful consideration and planning, especially when a large amount of people are

Although you need complete darkness for a really good firework
display its a good idea to provide lighting around key areas such as site
entrance, exit and near to main public areas before and after the main display.

Notify services of your firework event before hand and provide
them with site directions. Set up a central, well lit, first aid command post
where you can be easily found and can coordinate helpers and contact
emergency services. |

|
Carefully check and clear the area of fireworks. Be careful
and look out for any that did not go off. Do not throw away onto the smouldering
remains of any bonfire as this may ignite any that did not go off and may cause
injury. |
